Welcome to ISTA's website! Our mission is to be a voice for quality science education in Idaho, empowering teachers and promoting student achievement. Our goal as an organization is to provide educators with a forum to discuss science and pedagogy. We are here to serve our members and to help the m network with other educators throughout the state.Our objectives:
- To create an active interest in science;
- To encourage more effective science teaching at all levels of instruction in the schools and colleges of the State of Idaho;
- To promote research in the field of science teaching;
- To provide a medium for the exchange of views pertaining to the teaching science;
- To promote a better rapport between the teachers of science and the teachers of the other disciplines;
